Virginia Therapists

Amanda Saoit, LCSW-S

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm grateful for your courage to take this step. I've spent over a decade helping adults, youth, and Veterans overcome many different challenges, including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, process addictions and major life transitions. I also provide therapeutic support to those who want to grow their family through adoption. I use CBT, mindfulness, substance use recovery methods, strengths-based approach and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). EMDR has been scientifically proven as an effective form of treatment for PTSD, depression/anxiety and distressing events.

I strive to create a setting where my clients can experience feeling safe, heard and understood. Your story matters and you deserve to get well. If you want healing that is long term and meaningful, I am here for you.

Elizabeth, VA Team

My name is Elizabeth, and I provide therapy services via telehealth in Virginia. I'm trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that empowers individuals to effectively manage their emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance overall well-being. With my expertise in DBT, I offer a unique opportunity for us to set meaningful goals together and work on them collaboratively, using a range of specialized skills to achieve those goals.

I have also received comprehensive training in trauma-informed care, such as EMI and IFS. I understand the profound impact that traumatic experiences can have on an individual's life. My compassionate and empathetic approach creates a safe space where clients can explore and heal from past traumas while developing resilience and coping strategies to navigate future challenges.

My ideal client is someone who is motivated and enthusiastic about learning and applying the skills we learn about to their daily life. By incorporating these skills into your everyday experiences, you'll gain the tools necessary to overcome emotional distress and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth.

I invite individuals who are struggling with emotional distress, seeking to improve emotional regulation, desiring to practice mindfulness, and wishing to develop stronger interpersonal skills to reach out to me. As your counselor, I will provide a caring, kind, and, most importantly, non-judgmental environment, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine support.
