Psychiatric Team

Hello! My name is Kayla Potter. I'm a doctorate-prepared psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. Helping others has been a passion of mine from a very young age. I obtained my first bachelor's degree in psychology from Longwood University. During my last semester there, I realized I wanted to be a nurse. I started my nursing career in 2014, working on a medical-surgical unit and have since gotten experience in the emergency department and inpatient psychiatry. I graduated from George Mason University in 2021 with a DNP.

I live in Culpeper with my husband and four beautiful kids. I'm obsessed with true crime and adult paint-by-numbers. I love CrossFit (shout out to my Code Name fam!), gluten free food, and listening to 90's music. I want to be a Disney princess when I grow up
