My approach is to begin with where the client is in the present moment. I am a very compassionate and caring person and very aware of how I treat those who I am helping. My training as well as personal life experience have led to me always being open-minded to what the client says and how they express themselves. My training in undergraduate was in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. For my graduate degree I focused on Children and families. However, I have since then branched out to all ages and the treatment of all types of diagnoses and problems that are identified. In addition to this I have also worked with suicidal clients for the course of 3 years and am trained in Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
While Christian values are an aspect of my own life, I will not impose my beliefs on my clients as I respect different opinions and beliefs. I am non-judgmental, empathetic, authentic, and I value having a high level or rapport with every individual that I meet and help. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, suicidal clients, clients who exhibit self-harm tendencies, dual diagnoses, trauma work, as well as working with all age groups. I do not know how to adequately express my love for helping people overcome obstacles.
