Katura Hart, LMSW (MD, NM) is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Veteran of the U.S. Army with over 7 years of social work experience. She is committed to helping individuals build healthier lives. In 2015, Katura earned her Bachelor's in Social Work from University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. Shortly after, she began working with children in the school system.
In 2019, Katura earned her Master's in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington with a concentration in substance use. While pursuing her degree she counseled victims of domestic violence with co-occurring disorders and attended CPS court to advocate for client rights.
Katura is passionate about mental health, victims of domestic violence and homelessness. She has an eclectic approach which includes cognitive behavioral techniques from a humanistic and mindfulness focus. Katura is versed with working with diverse groups and embraces all cultures and backgrounds. She is open-minded and believes that everyone has a voice.
Katura views the client as the "expert" and sees herself as a guide. Her goal is to assist individuals reach their highest potential. She describes herself as adventurous, outgoing, and down to earth. She enjoys listening to music, karaoke, skating, traveling, and spending time with family.
